General likes:
Childhood flashbacks and backstory; flashbacks and pre-canon backstory in general; slice of life; dreams, hallucinations, drugs and other ways to look into the characters' subconscious (I like when it gets very weird, but it also doesn't have to); dream logic; symbolism; physical manifestations of metaphorical personal monsters; psychological horror; magical realism; parallels; character study; a character meeting their child self; "what if" AU and other kinds of canon divergent AUs; time travel AU in the context of getting a second chance to do something from the past differently (the "Peggy Sue" trope); a character saving their younger self from trauma; crossovers; isekai; elaborate descriptions of sights and smells, especially of nature, weather, time of the day; unreliable narrator; outsider POV; dorkiness; characters having fun; children doing their own thing and not being controlled; humor; pop culture references (from tv more than from movies); future/post-canon; exploring canon mental illness and the process of healing from trauma; self-(re)discovery.
Additional fandom-specific likes:
Anything about Sam and Chamberlin's ghost friendship! Or anything about Jamie (with or without Bode) and the Small World key. Or anything where Erin lives. Or anything where Eden (her real self, not the demon) lives/never got possessed.
Other than that, I don't have anything more specific in mind here, I'm going to love everything you come up with! :)
General dislikes (DNW):
Any romance; any sex; any kink; physical illness/sickness; someone being taken care of by another person (grooming, feeding, etc.); unresolved mind control or possession; possessiveness portrayed as positive; violating consent and freedom portrayed as positive when it's "not a big deal" or "for someone's own good", also in a non-sexual context, also when it applies to children (convincing someone to do things they don't like, "playfully" tickling when someone says no, intentionally limiting someone's choices, "grounding", etc.); parents' POV on a parent-child relationship; self-sacrifice and self-denial portrayed as positive; non-canon pregnancy and childbirth; AU that completely changes characters' backstories; persecutory delusions and delusions of reference (other symptoms of mental illnesses are not just okay, but very welcome).
Horror-specific dislikes (DNW):
It's totally okay to explore these if they exist in canon, but please don't introduce them as elements of horror if they're not already canonical:
Mind control; possession; imprisonment (lawful or otherwise) and any other situations where someone doesn't have freedom to move or make decisions; gaslighting; medical abuse and medical settings in general.

The vampire kid! Is this an actual child, or the tropey "ancient vampire in a child's body", or anything in between? Or what's up with Ed Sheeran's character, what's the in-world reason he's different than the other vampires? Or what do the vampires do to humans exactly? (BtVS references/crossover, if you're familiar with the fandom, would be hilarious, since apparently the video was inpired by BtVS. :D)

Additional fandom-specific likes:
Re: Eliot & Billy - Sooo, this is my big headcanon that you are completely free to ignore. Since Eliot grew up in Indiana and that's also where Stranger Things takes place, I am headcanoning Billy as Eliot's father. Billy is exactly the right age and his story could very plausibly go this way if he had lived. (It would only require "Waugh" to be a chosen last name, which I'm already kinda assuming it is.) Appearances of other Stranger Things characters would be awesome, especially if someone is nice to Eliot. I know this means no redemption for Billy because we'd already know his future, so if we matched on this tag and you don't like this headcanon, I'm going to also love everything else you write about these two characters.
Re: Eliot & Eleven - Well, this is basically just based on the "people from Indiana called El who have telekinetic abilities" parallel. :D Go where it leads you. (If you like the above Billy headcanon, feel free to set the story there.)
Re: The Monsters - My "unresolved mind control or possession" DNW can be lifted here, but if you could include a way for them to eventually (not necessarily during the fic) stop possessing Eliot, Julia and/or other people, that would be amazing. (They don't have to leave Earth, I would actually love if they stayed, as long as they have a different way to stay.)
Re: Harmony & Jessica - It wasn't my nomination but OMG I'm loving everything about this - the crack potential, the 'haplessly trying to be evil' potential, the soft friendship potential, everything! I would especially be fond of something that focuses on them (or at least one of them) being brand new vampires. Oh, and something that lampshades the differences between how vampires work in BtVS and True Blood would be fantastic!
Re: all - Go where the crossover leads you, choose the parallels (or differences) between the characters that speak to you the most, be as cracky or as serious about it as you want, and I'm going to love everything you come up with! :)

I'd be interested to see what could happen if Swim Swim doesn't die, but her death is not a DNW. Anything about her real world non-magical-girl version would be amazing too. Or about her fucked up relationship with Ruler and/or Nemurin.
